Celebrate Biblically
The GDOP process is based on the Book of Acts. Jesus followers prayed continually for 10 days leading up to the first Pentecost. On that Sunday, God publicly answered their prayers. The Holy Spirit descended upon them and the Church was born. The believers then demonstrated God's love through acts of kindness and caring in their community.

United in Faith
Global Day of Prayer brings together Christians from around the world to pray and ask God to bless the nations “. . . so that the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord (Hab.2:14)”.

In less than five years, GDOP has become the largest gathering ever of Christians united in prayer, united in faith, and united in purpose. In 2005, 2006, 2007 and again in 2008 Christians in Calgary and area will pray in unity under the Biblical authority of the Apostles Creed.

Our primary Prayer is found in 2 Chronicles 7:14. “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and forgive their sin and heal their land.” Go to Prayer Guides.
